MSC REACHES RECORD FLEET SHARE

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has increased its share of global container fleet capacity to 21.5%, the highest market share ever achieved by a container shipping line.
This surpasses the previous record of 19.3% held by A.P. Moller – Maersk in 2018.
MSC is the only carrier among the world's top 10 container shipping lines to reach a new market-share high this year.
Since 2010, MSC has roughly doubled its share of global container fleet capacity.
The gap between MSC and Maersk has widened because the two companies are pursuing different strategies.
